For Referring Physicians

Transferring Patients and Continuity of Care

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center
We are committed to providing world-class care for all our patients. This includes a plan for continuity of care between our highly specialized services and their general practitioners and urologists.

If your patient elects to have robotic prostate cancer surgery with us, you will receive a detailed surgical report following the procedure. Pathology reports will also be forwarded to you.

Dr. Tewari will also contact your office to provide details of the surgery and what the patient can expect with respect to followup care. We understand the importance of the continuity of care and the trust involved in transferring patients. We will keep you informed of your patient's status throughout the transfer process and we are always available to promptly answer any questions you may have.

After catheter removal, usually five to eight days following surgery, we will return your patients to you for any and all follow up and other medical services.

Dr. Tewari welcomes inquiries from physicians on any and all aspects of his work in treatment and research and regularly hosts physicians who are interested in his techniques and wish to tour his facilities. If you would like to discuss a case with him please don't hesitate to contact him.
