The Patient Experience
What should I bring to my first visit?
The medical information we ask you about typically includes:
- PSA and general blood test results
- prostate biopsy slides
- pathology reports
- imaging results.
We will be happy to answer any questions you may have about getting your clinical information together at the time we schedule your evaluation appointment. You may be asked to obtain further testing after your initial visit with us.
What should I expect during my first visit?
If you are a suitable surgical candidate and you wish to schedule the surgery you may begin that process right after you have been evaluated. Alternatively, you may wish to take time to consider the decision and contact us for a surgical appointment at a later date.
If you decide that ART™ robotic surgery is the right choice for you, we will e-mail you information that is specially prepared to address many of the questions new patients might have. The e-mail will also include all necessary instructions and any other important information related to your surgery. If you prefer, we can provide the information in printed form.
We will attempt to contact you by telephone if we feel that the problem you raised requires immediate response. Of course, you always have the option of calling us directly at the number below.
